Mr David Davis, the Brexit Secretary has offered more glimmers of hope for EU citizens currently working in the UK.

In the countdown to the triggering of Art 50 next month, MrDavis stated that whilst the UK is "determined to rely less on EU service workers over the coming years", it will take time Shutting the doors of the UK borders is [clearly] not the answer.

A phased approach, along with talk of a £1,000 are some ways in which the government is seeking to 'put British jobs first'. One can only wonder what the 700,000 or so EU citizens currently working  in the UK hospitality industry alone are thinking.

Whatever your position is on the Brexit issue, big decisions will need to be made in the many months ahead.

Perhaps March will grant us the clarity we need to figure out whether these promises are merely vapours in the wind.
